Do not neglect salvation Hebrews 2:3-4 KJV
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation? Which, having been first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard, God testifying together with them, with signs and wonders and various miracles and distributions of the Holy Spirit according to his will.
if you leave justice
Ezekiel 18:21-32
Ezekiel 18:21-32 KJV
But the wicked, if he turns away from all his sins that he has done, and keeps all my statutes and does according to law and justice, he will surely live; he will not die. All the transgressions that he committed will not be remembered; in the righteousness of him that he made he shall live. Do I want the death of the wicked? says the Lord Jehovah. Will he not live, if he turn from his ways? But if the righteous depart from his righteousness and commit wickedness, and do according to all the abominations that the wicked did, will he live? None of the justices that he did will be taken into account; for his rebellion that he transgressed, and for the sin that he committed, for which he shall die. And if you say: The way of the Lord is not straight; Hear now, house of Israel: Is not my way right? are not your ways crooked? The righteous turning away from his righteousness, and doing iniquity, he shall die for it; for the iniquity that he did, he will die. And turning away the wicked from his wickedness that he did, and doing according to law and justice, he will make his soul live. Because he looked and turned from all his transgressions that he had committed, he will surely live; he will not die. If the house of Israel still says: The way of the Lord is not straight; Are not my ways right, house of Israel? Certainly, our paths are not straight. Therefore I will judge each one of you according to his ways, O house of Israel, says the Lord Jehovah. Be converted, and depart from all your transgressions, and iniquity will not be the cause of ruin for you. Cast away from you all your transgressions with which you have sinned, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, house of Israel? Because I do not want the death of the one who dies, says the Lord Jehovah; be converted, then, and you will live.
Paul says: after being a herald he can be eliminated
1 Corinthians 9:26-27
Reina-Valera 1960
26 Therefore, I run in this way, not as haphazardly; in this way I fight, not as one who strikes the air, 27 but I strike my body, and I put it in bondage, lest, having been a herald for others, I myself come to be eliminated.
Meaning of herald:
herald
1. Messenger.
"the UN Secretary General went to the place of the conflict as a herald of peace"
2. Thing that announces with his presence the arrival of another.
"a thousand particular forces speak to us, without letting us realize their materiality, acting as heralds of an immaterial expression"
He who does not abide in the Lord
Whoever does not abide in me, he will be thrown out like a branch, and will wither; and they gather them up, throw them into the fire, and they burn” (John 15:6).
If something makes us fall
Mark 9: 43-48
"If your hand causes you to fall, cut it off, because it is better for you to enter life maimed than having two hands to go to hell, to the fire that cannot be put out."
Jesus speaks of someone who is saved, but has the possibility of falling, thus losing his salvation.
You have to persevere to the end
Matthew 24:13
Reina-Valera 1960
13 But whoever endures to the end will be saved
There is no condemnation for:
Romans 8:1-30
Old Reina-Valera
8 NOW therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and death
8 Therefore, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.
10 But if Christ is in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin; but the spirit lives because of justice.
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, that we should live according to the flesh:
13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
